The critique is in, it is short but oh so sweet!
Above is the English Toy Terrier judges critique from the 2015 Royal Melbourne Show. Beautiful words from the Romanian Kennel Club President and our judge, Mr Cristian Stefanescu. Best of Breed was the amazing LEXI, with the up and coming star, KIZZY, best puppy.
November
Our last shows for November were the very well supported Morwell Traralgon Kennel Club Championship Shows over the weekend of the 14th and 15th. On the first day, Lexi won Best Exhibit in Group from an entry of 173 toys. The next day, she was Runner Up to Best Exhibit in Group from 161. Absolutely fantastic wins for Australia's #1 English Toy Terrier!
We could not ask for a better start to November. Firstly, Aust Ch Yurrugar Keeping Secrets whelped one boy and one girl to Am Ch Oakwood V Ebet's Invincible (imp USA). Neither puppy is available for sale, however we do have a litter planned for early 2016. Our first shows were held over the Melbourne Cup long weekend. On the Monday, at the prestigious Victorian Women's Dog Club, under Mrs Elaine Lessig from the USA, Tex took the Best of Breed. Our beautiful puppy Kizzy was Best bitch over the famous Lexi! Kizzy then went on to be awarded Best Puppy in Group, Tex shortlisted for Best Exhibit in Group and Lexi was Best Intermediate in Group. Thank you Mrs Lessig for awarding our dogs so highly and for the beautiful comments made about our dogs! The next day, under Mrs D Campbell-Freeman, also from the USA, Tex was again Best of Breed, with Lexi taking Best bitch and then again onto Best Intermediate in Group! Yet again we had extremely favourable comments from another international judge. Yurrugar is currently Australia's #1 English Toy Terrier breeder as per the Dogzonline Pointscore.
October
We have had a month off from the shows, as we always sort of do after the Royal Shows. Our first show back was the double at Bendigo on the 24th. Although it was a long day and a long drive there and back, it was worth it with Lexi taking Best of Breed and Best Intermediate in Group in the morning, and then Tex going Best Australian Bred in Group in the afternoon. Lexi was again Best of Breed at the PM show. These two always bring home a major award in the very best company that our show scene has to offer. We look forward though to presenting some beautiful rising stars along side Tex and Lexi in 2016, so watch this space.
We also must congratulate Petra Trapp and for achieving the title of AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION on her girl Billie, "Yurrugar Glory Box". This is a beautiful, type little bitch that we are proud to have bred.

September
ROYAL MELBOURNE SHOW. We have had an absolute dream run with the Royal Shows, with success that we could never imagine and we are sure will not be matched by any other ETT kennel in the near future. For a dog of only nineteen months of age, Lexi has had success that is usually reserved for more season show dogs. She is the choice of the international judges, which is a HUGE honour. Judges that we respect, judges that have been in dogs for what seems like eternity. To have a dog of your breeding be appreciated by some of these people is truly overwhelming. Below is Lexi pictured with judge, Mr Cristian Stefanescu from Romania, taking Best Exhibit in Group 4th at the prestigious 2015 Royal Melbourne Show from an entry of 457 toy dogs, and 3200 plus dogs overall. Again, all we were really hoping for was a place in the top 8, but to actually make the placings is a huge achievement. Handled here by Ashely Reid and pictured with Anne Raymond, Advance representative, Mr Andrew Burt, the head of the RMS Dog Section Committee, and myself on the end. 2015 seems to be the year of QUEEN LEXI! And 2016 will be even better we are sure ;)
ROYAL ADELAIDE SHOW was a big success for our small team. Best Puppy of Breed went to our gorgeous little girl Kizzy aka Yurrugar Flawless Finish. Ch Yurrugar Dream Come True took the top honour of Best of Breed and then backed it up with an impressive Best Exhibit in Group 4th! To make the top 8 was an achievement, but to be amongst the final 4 in beautiful, all toy breeds competition was extra exciting! Thank you to Judge Mrs M McBeth from Canada for appreciating our English Toy Terriers.
August
August has started so well for Team Yurrugar. Ch Yurrugar Dream Come True and Ch Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest headed to Brisbane for ETT judging at the Royal Show (EKKA) and came away with Best of Breed and Runner Up Best of Breed respectively. Thank you to Ashley Reid and his team for preparing and handling the dogs for us for breed judging. Also congratulations to Petra Trapp and Yurrugar Glory Box for winning the puppy bitch class on the day. Glory Box, Billie, has been doing very well in QLD with Petra handling and from limited outings, beating much older champion dogs along the way.
Our Irish Setter, co-owned by Adya Sunindar, wowed the international judges at the Gundog and Heavy Breeds, the Gundog Club of QLD and the Setter Speciality Shows held also in Brisbane, taking Best Exhibit in Show at ALL 3 events. Troy also went Best of Breed and final 6 Best Exhibit in the Gundog Group at the Royal Brisbane Show.
July
We took a little break from the shows during this cold time to concentrate on our current litter, and to try and keep ourselves happy and snug! However, we did manage to get to the Metropolitan Kennel Club Championship Show. We are glad we ventured out because Lexi, Yurrugar Dream Come True, took a lovely Runner Up to Best in Group from the junior class, from an entry of 187 toy dogs! Many thanks to Judge Mrs A Rhodes. A week later, over the weekend of the 25/26th, our beautiful red head "TROY" took back to back Best Exhibit in Group wins and then a Runner Up to Best in Show in QLD. Handled like always by Ashley Reid. Thank you to all those who support our beautiful boy, especially whilst he is away from us. We look forward to having him home soon.
June
Dream Come True followed by her Best in Show win at the Toy Speciality with Runner Up to Best in Group at the Box Hill Championship Show on May 13th. On the same day, Diamonds N Dreams was showing at the World Dog Show in Milan, Italy and came away with Best of Breed and the title of World Winner!
June has arrived and I must first apologise to any enquirers that have emailed me and I have yet not replied to. We have been a bit busy! I had the wonderful fortune of being the owner, breeder and handler of the Toy Dog Club of Victoria's 2015 Speciality Show winner, Ch Yurrugar Dream Come True. From an entry of 294 toy dogs, Lexi was crowned BEST IN SHOW. Thank you to Sally Stasytis for these two lovely photos from the day. The same day Petra Trapp showed her stunning baby puppy bitch, Yurrugar Glory Box, to BEST BABY PUPPY IN SHOW up at Caboolture in QLD.
May
May 31st was a wonderful day for the Yurrugar ETTs. Under veterinarian judge, Dr Terril Udenberg from Canada, TEX "Aust Ch Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest, went Best in Group from the cream of the Victorian toys (233 of them to be exact). Dr Udenberg later remarked to us that when Tex came into the ring, he had found what he was looking for. Tex was handled by Paige on this occasion and it seemed he was a very popular winner with the crowd going wild when he was placed at the #1 position! It is a feather in our cap that Yurrugar ETTs have taken out the two biggest Best in Group awards that have been on offer in Victoria so far in 2015, the other being under another Canadian judge at the Bunyip Championship Show.
May has gone quickly for us here at Yurrugar! We had a few weeks off dog shows for family and horse show commitments, however we made it to the Caulfield Championship Show on May 23rd. It was Ch Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest "TEX" that took the broad sash for the ETTs, being shortlisted for Best in Group and then onto Best Australian Bred in Group. My fathers much loved Boston Terrier "Flynn", also came along and took out Best Intermediate in Group. Up in QLD on the same day, our Irish Setter "Troy", exhibited for us by Ashely Reid, took out Best in Group. Ronda Allen attended the Esk Championship Show with her ETT boy Ch Yurrugar New Sensation "Nelson" (litter brother to Poetry in Motion, Keeping Secrets and Adulation Noted) and he was Best of Breed and Best Open in Group. On the 24th, our Troy did us proud with another Best in Group and Runner Up to Best in Show. A wonderful weekend indeed!
April
DREAM COME TRUE CONTINUES ON HER WINNING WAYS...
LEXI attended the big Greensborough Championship Show held at the Bulla Complex on April 26th. Although she was a bit "spirited" during breed judging, and managed to go RU Best of Breed to her beautiful brother TEX, Lexi pulled herself together to take Best Junior in Group under Mr Geoff Beckett. She then went on to be the only Toy to win a best in show class, winning BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW under G Alexander and handled all the way by Paige. Lexi continues to hold the top position as the #1 TOY RISING STAR, ALL BREEDS, IN AUSTRALIA!
The results are in and it is official, Multi titled YURRUGAR SECRET AGENT (exported Finland) was the #1 English Toy Terrier in 2014. Pictured below

YURRUGAR DREAM COME TRUE CONTINUES HER SUCCESS…
Yet again this girl was absolutely on point. On April 4th at the Bunyip Championship Show, under Mr Thomas Touzel from Canada, and from an entry of 211 toy dogs, Lexi took BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP and then on to BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW under judge Mrs Lyn Watson. Beautifully handled by her co-owner Mr Gerald Munro. Mr Touzels comment, SHE IS SIMPLY FABULOUS! Lexi continues to be AUSTRALIA'S #1 RISING STAR TOY DOG, ALL BREEDS and the #1 ENGLISH TOY TERRIER, all ages (as per the dogzonline pointscore system, as at April 5th 2015).
Stockholm International Easter Dog Show 2015 Next Top Model "Pixie" Best Opposite Sex and SECH and Yurrugar Secret Agent "James" BEST OF BREED! Pixie's babies, Stonemeadow's Great Magic "Sakke" and his sister Stonemeadow's Tiger Lily "Taika", both took the top award for best juniors gaining the SEJW-15 titles. Congratulations Iris, Tiina and Janna for continuing to promote the YURRUGAR name so wonderfully in Scandinavia.
March
Lexi - BEST EXHIBIT in GROUP and onto RUNNER UP TO BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW, at the Gladstone Ken
nel Club Championship Show on March 29th. We could not be happier! All this and still jus t a junior. Congratulations to Uschi (Yurrugar Adulation Noted), Best of Breed at International Dogshow Luxemburg on March 28th! Pictured here with her wonderful owner, Miss Kerstin Noth.
Dream Come True and Lone Star Conquest attended the Cohuna/Kerang double show on Saturday the 21st. Under Elizabeth Gunter, LEXI was shortlisted for Best in Group, took Best Junior in Group and then went though to be awarded Best Junior in Show. Under Elaine Knox, TEX won Best Australian Bred in Group!
Congratulations to Ronda Allen and her girl "Pheobe" for taking out Best of Breed and Best Junior in Group at the Toowoomba Royal Show on March 18th. Pheobe is a daughter of Yurrugar Standing Ovation.
March 14th, Lexi wins another Best of Breed and Best Junior in Group, this time in Melbourne and with Paige handling.
Dream Come True attended the two Callide Valley Canine Club Inc Championship Shows on the 7th and 8th of March with handler, Ashley Reid. She came away with...2 x Best in Group, 2 x Best Junior in Group, 1 x Best Junior in Show and to top it off, 1 x Runner Up to Best in Show at just 12 months of age. The rest of the family showed closer to home at the Warragul Championship Show with Lexi's brother, Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest. Tex, handled by Gerald Munro, winning Runner Up to Best in Group from the junior class. A stellar weekend!
February
Another successful weekend for our beautiful dogs. On Saturday the 14th, siblings Tex and Lexi went to the Bendigo Championship Show with their "dad" Gerald Munro. In a top class toy entry of 131 dogs, Tex (Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest) came away with Runner Up to Best Exhibit in Group from the puppy class. Not to be left out, Lexi (Yurrugar Dream Come True) took out Best Junior in Group. Huge thank you to those who assisted Gerald in our absence and to the judge for rewarding and recognising such lovely dogs.
Our first show for February was the Classic. Under Mr S Wailes, our gorgeous young boy Yurrugar Paparazzi, a son of Scene Stealer and Runway Model, took Best Minor Puppy in Group, handled by myself (Paige). BIS Aust Ch Yurrugar Diamond Heist came out of semi retirement to take the Best of Breed with Aust Ch Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest being the reserve dog and eventual Runner Up Best of Breed winner. Aust Ch Yurrugar Dream Come True took this bitch CC. It was a lovely evening in the company of wonderful friends.
February and March are fairly decent showing months for us with quite a few events on. Our litter is growing beautifully and one puppy has already been secured by overseas enthusiasts. We have a few making their way to outstanding companion homes, and we will of course have something for ourselves. We also had another overseas enquiry, however if you are reading this, please email us again as the return email seemed to be incorrect and we are getting bounce backs. We would love to get in touch with you!

Welcome to January 2015!
We are thrilled to announce that our Tex, Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest, has become an Australian Champion. Finishing his title under an overseas judge and from a very nice entry of quality ETTs. Toiresort Rumours R Rife, daughter of Yurrugar Standing Ovation, also finished her title over the same weekend.
And what a year it looks to be! Aust Ch Yurrugar Dream Come True travelled with her much loved handler, Mr Ashley Reid, to the Maryborough Championship Shows on the 3rd and 4th and was shortlisted for Best in Group both days in addition to being awarded Best Puppy in Show at BOTH shows! Meanwhile, her bother Tex (Yurrugar V Lone Star Conquest), stayed in Victoria and was exhibited by Mr Gerald Munro for Best Puppy in Group at Historic Maldon KC (Kyneton) on the 4th.
